ROMAN NUMERALS LEVEL 1

Remember from your notes (click here to view the notes) that the Romans built their numbers up by adding or subtracting. When small numbers followed big numbers they were all added together as will be the case in all Level 1 questions.

Example I: LXVII = L + X + V + I + I

Which = 50 + 10 + 5 + 1 + 1 = 67
